COMMITTED
TO BLACK
EMPOWERMENT
& PARTICIPATION

PYB, in partnership with Pride Enterprises and D3 Development, has created the Black Empowerment and Participation Plan to ensure that the Alan Horwitz "Sixth Man" Center is constructed by Black-owned businesses, Black workers, and Black apprentices.

The following areas will be the focus of this plan:

  • Prime Contractor (Minority Business Enterprise/MBE)

  • Subcontractors, Subconsultants & Workforce

  • Suppliers – minimum participation for M/WBEs: MBE 30%, WBE 10%, DBE 5%

CONSTRUCTION PARTNERS

Thank you to Philadelphia Youth Basketball’s many operating partners who provide services that support the daily operations of our organization and enhance our abilities as an organization!

CO-LOCATED
PARTNERS

The planning for the Center has challenged PYB to discover what we are “experts in,” and what should be provided by other experts in our community. We continue to pursue and formalize agreements with our many co-located partners who will operate various spaces of the Center. While each relationship is in different stages, we look forward to providing updates when additional co-located partners are publicly announced.
