Youth Entrepreneurship Program

Learn The Basics. Pitch Your Ideas. Shape Your Future!

Youth Entrepreneurship Program offers Philadelphia high school students an immersive introduction to the world of business and entrepreneurship. Throughout the program, students learn the fundamentals of business development, financial literacy, and entrepreneurial thinking, while gaining hands-on experience through projects and workshops. Participants also have the unique opportunity to connect with and learn directly from some of Philadelphia’s most inspiring entrepreneurs, building both knowledge and professional networks.

Time: 8 AM to 4 PM

Days: Tuesday, Thursday

Grades: 9th to 12th Graders

Price: Free!

Teen Rec Night

Show Your Love Of Basketball, On & Off The Court

Teen Rec Night is a basketball-centered mentorship program that harnesses the unifying power of basketball and a safe “third space” to develop young people into the next generation of leaders. Rooted in the African philosophy of ubuntu—the belief that "I am because we are," which highlights our interconnected humanity— we create an environment for teens to grow, heal, and thrive within a supportive community, on & off the court.

We push aspiring players to grow in the game while raising the importance of their life skills & career readiness. We also embrace youth who love the game to explore leadership around the game, off the court.

Dates: September 8th to November 12th

Time: 5 PM to 8 PM

Days: Monday & Wednesday

Grades: Co-Ed, 9th through 12th

Price: $150 to $600 per Cohort (10 Weeks), Dependent on Scholarship Level

PYB PREP-Academy

PREParing our student-athletes for the next level on and off the court!

PYB Prep Academy offers a premier academic and athletic experience designed to prepare elementary, middle and high-school students for success on and off the court. This year-round, semester-long program combines high-level basketball training with academic enrichment, leadership development, and mentorship from dedicated educators and coaches. Students in PYB Prep Academy gain the tools to excel in the classroom, grow as leaders, and sharpen their basketball IQ—all while becoming part of a supportive community that values discipline, resilience, and teamwork.

Days: Monday through Thursday

Grades: Co-Ed, K through 8th Grade

Work-Based Learning

Where Ambition Meets Opportunity And Paid Internships.

PYB’s Work-Based Learning Program gives student participants the chance to explore diverse career paths across industries, gain mentorship and real-world experience from local business leaders, and strengthen the professional skills needed for long-term success. Internships typically run for 10 weeks, with students working 8–15 hours per week and earning about $16 per hour. This “earn while you learn” model allows young people to build transferable skills, grow their professional networks, and make meaningful connections within Philadelphia’s business community.

PYB's Entrepreneurship Competition

Win a $10,000 Investment For Your Business or Side Hustle!

PYB’s Entrepreneurship Competition Series empowers young adults 16-24 to strengthen their entrepreneurial skills while building confidence as future leaders. Through interactive workshops, participants develop and refine their business pitch presentations, sharpen public speaking and presentation skills, and gain real-world insights into entrepreneurship. The series culminates in a Shark Tank–style business pitch competition, where finalists present to a panel of local entrepreneurs and community leaders.

Time: 5 PM to 7 PM

Dates: 09/18, 09/23, 09/25, 09/30, 10/02, 10/07

Ages: 16-24
