PYB School Closure Holiday Clinics offer full-day programming for young people in Kindergarten through 9th grade during scheduled school holidays and breaks in Philadelphia. At the Alan Horwitz “Sixth Man” Center, each clinic combines basketball instruction, enrichment, leadership and social-emotional skill development, active recreation, and positive mentorship from PYB Coach-Mentors.
It’s more than a basketball clinic—and more than simply filling a day off from school. PYB Holiday Clinics create a safe, structured, and engaging environment where young people can stay active, explore new ideas, build relationships, and develop skills they can carry into school, sports, and life. Healthy breakfast and lunch are provided!

Each clinic runs from 8 AM - 4 PM, with free late pickup until 4:30 PM

Early Years Clinic
Kindergarten - 4th Grade
Foundational basketball, interactive enrichment, creative exploration, and cooperative play are designed to build confidence and curiosity.
Middle Years Clinic
Grades 4 - 9
Basketball skill development, leadership, project-based enrichment, friendly competition, and opportunities for personal growth.
Have a 4th grader? Families may choose either clinic based on their child’s developmental readiness, interests, and previous PYB experience.
