PYB Announces $50 Million Capital Project to Launch The Generator

The new facility will connect thousands of young adults to careers in skilled trades, healthcare, and technology through hands-on training, industry credentials, supportive services, and direct job placement.

WHAT WE'RE BUILDING

40,000 SQUARE FEET BUILT AROUND WHAT COMES NEXT.

Philadelphia Youth Basketball (PYB) will develop a second facility - The Generator of Career Development and Economic Opportunity - immediately adjacent to the Alan Horwitz “Sixth Man” Center in the Nicetown neighborhood of North Philadelphia. Together, these two buildings will form a unified campus that integrates holistic youth development, early career exposure, and pathways into workforce training and sustainable careers.

The Generator will serve as a launchpad for hundreds, ultimately thousands, of young adults to access career-aligned training, experiential learning, and job placement in industries offering household-sustaining wages and long-term advancement."
