The Lace Up and Learn Up (LULU) Summer Camp Series is PYB's annual summer camp program for middle schoolers to address the problem of summer academic backslide, which significantly impacts underserved young people. This program seeks to instill a love of learning and hard work in our young student-athletes that leads into the school year, utilizing our holistic homegrown sport and society modules.

Through applicable and "not school-like" enrichment opportunities like these, our young people find their voice and opinions on issues that are relevant in their own lives, all while developing their critical thinking. literacy, and advocacy skills, as well as instilling healthy and positive behaviors such as physical activity and healthy eating habits.
