Join the PYB Grassroots Coalition!

The PYB Grassroots Coalition is a network of teams, coaches, student-athletes, parents, fans, athletic administrators, and youth organizations committed to making a positive impact in the lives of Philly youth through the sport of basketball. Joining the coalition means pledging to use basketball as a vehicle for positive change and supporting PYB programs and facilities that enable our city’s young people to develop their full potential as healthy athletes, strong students, and leaders. 

Many coaches, teams, and other youth basketball organizations may already have some level of familiarity with PYB and what we are about, as some of our alumni are now players and coaches for their teams. As we expand, we continue to strive to improve, make a greater impact, and deepen those existing ties.

Ways to get involved include:

• Host a Fundraiser
  Begin brainstorming ideas for a PYB fundraiser in your community or school. From three-on-three tournaments to shooting contests to collecting at your local game, all ideas are welcome! We’ll support the event with promotional materials and gear and share it on our event calendar. For fundraising ideas and resources, contact us at gbraun@phillyyouthbasketball.org.
• Share Your Story
  Tell us how your team/organization is using basketball to make a positive difference. Your words and images will be part of an interactive exhibit at the new Alan Horwitz 6th Man Center that celebrates the iconic game of basketball and its impact on our city. • Buy a Brick
  Help build the most impactful youth and community empowerment center in the country right here in Philadelphia. Become a part of The Alan Horwitz ‘Sixth Man’ Center, powered and operated by Philadelphia Youth Basketball with the purchase of a personalized brick. Your team’s contribution to our Commemorative Brick Campaign will provide a stepping stone for each individual who passes through our center.
• Volunteer
  There are numerous opportunities throughout the year for your team/organization to volunteer with PYB. To learn more about how to get involved and find the right match, contact us at gbraun@phillyyouthbasketball.org.
• Take your team to tour The Alan Horwitz ‘Sixth Man’ Center!
