Rahim Thompson is a family man of many accomplishments including: author, visionary, and Commissioner of the Chosen League. He has been at the helm of the tournament for the past 19-summers, which has seen scores of talented athletes including collegiate student-athletes, McDonald’s All-Americans, and professional players.

Cherashore Playground has been home to the Chosen League for nearly 2-decades. The high school league has hosted some of the best games and talent from all over the city and surrounding suburbs.

Teams, athletes, referees alike have solidified their name and reputation during the Chosen Game, league play, and most importantly, the playoffs and championship. Commissioner Rahim Thompson started something as an alternative to the perils of the street, as his organization has helped to shape and change lives for the better.

The court was featured in NBA Live ’18 by Electronic Arts due to its authentic connection to both the city and sport. 10th and Olney will forever be remembered as one of the best places to play, and see basketball at the high school/prepatory level.
