On August 4th, from 6 p.m. – 7:30 p.m., PYB will be holding a meet and greet “briefing” about Philadelphia Youth Basketball at the Katz JCC in Cherry Hill, N.J.  The event will help raise awareness about PYB’s transformative mission for youth development, as well as build a base of support among citizens and leaders in South Jersey.

Co-hosts for the evening will include:

John Langel – John is the Chairman of PYB’s Board of Directors.  After an accomplished career as a lawyer at Ballard Spahr, John has recently retired and currently lives in South Jersey.  John holds a strong tie to both the South Jersey community as well as the Philadelphia community.  He constantly helps PYB expand it’s presence into new segments of the market. 

Wendell Pritchett – Wendell is the Secretary and serving member on PYB’s Board of Directors and the former Dean of the University of Pennsylvania’s Law School.  Wendell served as Chancellor of Rutgers-Camden from 2009-14, and still remains in contact with many friends in the South Jersey community. 

Adam Rose – Adam is the President of Rose Commercial Real Estate, a leading commercial real estate firm located in Marlton, NJ. Adam is committed to the South Jersey community, serving on the Executive Board of a number of groups and organizations throughout the region. Additionally, Adam has been a basketball person his whole life, also playing for Cherry Hill East, a school with a very rich tradition of basketball success. 

Leon Rose – Leon is a sports agent for CAA and is an avid member of the South Jersey community. A former college basketball at Dickinson College, Leon has made basketball a central part of his life. 

Rich Silpe – Rich is a partner at the Cozen O’Connor law firm located in Philadelphia, PA. He is an avid member of the South Jersey community where he lived his whole life and has remained involved in basketball forever. Rich’s son currently plays basketball for the University of Pennsylvania after having an excellent high school career at Cherry Hill East. 

Alex Schwarz – Alex is a corporate intern for PYB this summer. He is a rising junior at the George Washington University and is studying Finance. He is a South Jersey resident with strong ties to the community. Alex is involved in multiple projects within the community, including spearheading his family’s 3-on-3 charity basketball tournament where all proceeds go toward cancer research. The location of this event is at the Katz JCC, the same location of PYB’s South Jersey briefing. 

Ari Rosenfeld – Ari is a corporate intern for PYB this summer. He is a rising sophomore at Syracuse University majoring in Newspaper and Online Journalism. Ari also spends time covering Philadelphia basketball for the website, City of Basketball Love. Born and raised in South Jersey, Ari has strong ties to his hometown community.
