Beginning this May, seven dedicated and passionate Corporate Interns have joined the PYB team to help with several projects during the formative stages of the organization’s development.  We are excited to announce the inclusion of the following individuals.

Isaac Bushnell grew up in the Mt. Airy neighborhood of Philadelphia and is a graduate of Germantown Friends School.   He will be a sophomore at Northwestern University in the fall, where he majors in political science and writes sports for the SB Nation website Inside NU.

Brendan Durst will be graduating Friends Select School in Center City in June, and is spending his senior project working with us at PYB.  He will be attending Suffolk University in the fall.

Zach Mahler is a former basketball player and graduate of Roman Catholic High School.  He grew up in the Roxborough area of Philadelphia and will be entering his junior year at Penn State University, majoring in kinesiology.

Jake Engler is a graduate of St. Andrew’s High School in Boca Raton, Florida.  He will be a senior at Syracuse University in the fall and is getting his degree in Information Management and Technology.

Kyle Lafferty will be the captain of the basketball team at Rosemont College next winter heading into his junior year.  He grew up in the Olney area of Philadelphia and graduated from Central High School.  He is a sociology major who wishes to attend law school once he graduates.

Alexander Schwarz grew up in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, but graduated high school from Philadelphia’s own William Penn Charter School.  He will be a junior this fall at George Washington University and is majoring in Finance and Entrepreneurship.

Ari Rosenfeld is also from Cherry Hill New Jersey and also graduated from Penn Charter.  He will be a sophomore at Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, majoring in Newspaper and Online Journalism.  He also spends time covering Philadelphia basketball for the website, City of Basketball Love.

All of our corporate interns will be with us through the summer until they begin their next school term.  We are delighted to have them and they, in turn, are thrilled to be putting their time and effort into growing our organization serving the young people of Philadelphia.
